Metaphor

If one has a front yard full of weed heads, with their heads popping up all over the yard, is this situation a situation you can live with or is this a situation you want to control?

Weeds have a root structure and this root structure is connected to all the other weeds’ roots structures of its kind. These root structures support the weed heads that decorate the yard. These weed heads will form seed heads that the wind will disperse and reproduce the weed. There are several options to consider and each option has its own consequences:

  • Leave the weeds to nature’s evolution.  Accept the weeds as part of life on this planet.
  • Spay the yard with a weed herbicide. All the weeds will be killed.  The risk is that other living things may also be killed. This process could be charged as using weapons of mass destruction (WMD). The eradicators would be condemned by world opinion.
  • Pull out the lawnmower and cut off the blossoms of the weeds: You could look upon the yard and see what a good job you have done. In a short time, the roots of the weeds will produce more weeds.  The yard will again be populated with even more weeds.  This process does not address the right problem to solve.

Possible Solutions to a Political Religious War

  •  Who’s to judge that which is a weed and that which is beneficial to nature and society?
  • A philosophical enlightenment that would change the weeds’ behavior.
  • A scientific enlightenment that would show the usefulness of the weeds.
  • Come to an understanding that the universe is a living organism and we on planet Earth are part of this living organism.
  • The universe is continually expanding. Stars and solar systems are dying; stars and galaxies are being born from the remnants of those that have died.
  • Every part of the universe is connected to every other part of the universe by gravitons. Two graviton measuring devices, laser beams focused on a detector, as much as a mile’s distance, have sensitivity that can detect an extremely small motion on the Earth’s surface. One detector is in Washington state; the other in Louisiana.  These two detectors were just put into operation when both observed a spike on the chart at essentially the same time.  This spike was attributed to a gravitational wave that had propagated through space from a distance violent collision of two the universe’s components and impacted the planet Earth.  This gravitational wave traveled across the universe, much like a stone thrown in a quiet pool of water emits a wave that travels to a distant shore.
  • Everything in the universe is communicating with every other thing in the universe, just like a living organism.  Two telescopes on the same island off the coast of Europe focused their lenses on two different distant quasars (a compact object in space, usually with a large red shift indicating extreme remoteness, which emits huge amounts of energy, sometimes equal to the energy output of an entire galaxy).  These two light beams had to choose between two different filters that would be used to analyze their light beams. Both distant quasars (billions of miles) chose the same filter.  This demonstration showed that these two quasars, billions of miles from each other and from planet Earth, communicated with each other.
  • A solid object (“knock on wood”) has more empty space in it than solid material. Isaac Newton stated that “matter can be divided unto infinity.”  If we were to take an orange and expand it to the size of the Earth, we would observe more empty space than solid material.
  • The visitor to planet Earth, two thousand years ago, came to explain the processes of the universe and how they would affect life on Earth, how we can plug into these process to live a useful live on this planet Earth, how we can connect to the Creator of the Universe who resides in our own brains, and how the decisions that we make in life will determine our fate when our own star (the sun) runs out of hydrogen fuel that keeps the nuclear reaction at the core active.  The sun will collapse under the force of gravity either into a black hole (an object with an extremely high gravitational force, strong enough that even light cannot escape its attraction), or the matter in the sun will rebound into a supernova and disperse this matter into the universe to be used by another growing item in the universe.  Planet Earth will no longer exist and our fate will be decided by the decision that we made when we were still alive on planet Earth. NFL, NBA, NHL, FIFA players, etc. – please take note! This is where ethic enters the picture. It’s how you play the game – be it sports or life – that will determine your eventual eternal fate as this organism, we call planet Earth and our solar system, move onto the next step in the living processes of the universe.

The Evolution of Humankind

  • The evolution of man began when the large meteor (seven miles across, big enough to not burn up or explode in the Earth’s atmosphere) splashed into the Gulf of Mexico just off the coast of today’s New Mexico in shallow water about sixty-six million years ago. That’s 66,000,000 minus 2,100 years or 65,997,900 BC.  This action is an example of predestination by the Creator of the Universe, in that the timing of the impact with planet Earth was perfect.  Due to the rotation of the Earth, a few seconds earlier and the meteor would have landed in the deep water of the Atlantic Ocean. Or a few seconds later and the meteor would have splashed into the deep water of the Pacific Ocean. This meteor would have made a big tsunami wave and sunk to the bottom of either ocean.  But it was a perfect shot into the shallow water of the Gulf of Mexico where it penetrated twenty miles into the Earth’s crust.  This caused the right material to be emitted into the atmosphere like calcium, sulfur, etc. to create an atmospheric heat radiator that not only blocked out the sun, preventing future photosynthesis, but in combination with the falling sulfur (brimstones), ignited all the vegetation on the Earth, leaving only burnt charcoal on the whole Earth’s land surface.
This small band of charcoal is now visible around the world. No dinosaurs’ remains have been found above this charcoal band. All dinosaur fossils have been found below this band of charcoal. This band of charcoal is all that remained of all the vegetation on the planet after this large meteor struck the planet. The sulfur pellets also turned the ocean and all water acidic. In the end, all the dinosaurs were killed and seventy-five percent of the existing species on Earth were wiped out.  The surviving species were able to live off what remained on Earth (e.g. seeds, etc.).  It is one or more of these surviving species that began the evolution of man.
  • The evolution of man continued through several iterations until the Homo species evolved.  From here it can only be surmised that the Homo sapien species (Wise Homo) was given wisdom by the Creator of the Universe.  Just as the dinosaurs populated the Earth, so have the Homo sapiens.
  • Yuval Noah Harari is an Israeli historian and a tenured professor in the Department of History at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He is the author of the international bestsellers Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind (2014), Homo Deus: A Brief History of Tomorrow (2016), and 21 Lessons for the 21st Century (2018). His writings examine free will, consciousness, and intelligence. Harari argues that “the ability of Sapiens to cooperate in large numbers arises from its unique capacity to believe in things existing purely in the imagination, such as gods, nations, money, and human rights.” [i]
  • Just as the over population of dinosaurs threatened the life of planet Earth and were removed, it can be speculated that the same demise will be met by the over population of the Homo sapiens of the world.

The New Threat to the Populations of the Earth

  • The new threat to planet Earth is global warming.  Much of the water on planet Earth is contained in the ice caps at both poles and various glaciers around the planet.  Carbon dioxide was proven to be an insulator in the atmosphere in the eighteenth century.  Recently, in this twenty-first century, core samples of ice have been taken in the northern polar cap, approximately two miles deep, or the equivalent of several thousands of years of air trapped in the ice.  The trapped air, in these ice cores, was analyzed and it was found that the carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere, for these thousands of years, were nowhere near the levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere in this twenty-first century. Furthermore the current trend of increasing levels of carbon dioxide levels in the Earth’s atmosphere is increasing at close to an exponential rate, indicating a time urgency. This data clearly shows that global warming is probably from two causes: natural fluctuation of temperature with time and from the Homo sapiens’ use of fossil fuels, emitting great quantities of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
  • The fluctuation of the Earth’s temperature has been shown to coincide with the seasons. The carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is higher during periods of less foliage to convert carbon dioxide into oxygen, and lower levels of carbon dioxide are in the atmosphere when much foliation exists on the planet, converting carbon dioxide into oxygen.
  • If the two polar caps and the existing glaciers were to melt, the sea level will rise significantly, putting all coastal populations at risk. There are divergent opinions on how much the seal level will rise, but it will be significant.  This rise in seal level combined with warmer sea water will result in storms and hurricanes of greater strength and higher storm surges and increasing amounts of rain on land, further threatening all population on Earth with flooding.

Possible Solutions to the Increasing Water on the Inland and on the Coast

  • A possible solution can be learned from the Dutch, who have dealt with rising flood waters from the ocean and rivers for centuries.  Along our coast lines, we could construct hollow sea walls as much as 10 meters high, by ventilating these hollow sea walls on the landward side and constructing magnetic levitated transportation systems inside these hollow sea walls. This system will not only protect the coastal populations from storm surges, but give us a transportation system along the USA’s three coastal fronts.
  • Reinvent the swamps that once gave excessive rain water a place to go.  Move our populations to higher ground and use the low ground for reservoirs to capture rain water and rising rivers.   In drought areas, we could even construct underground cisterns to capture rain water.  Now that’s an old solution with a new twist!

Introduction

There are several formats for offering a ‘Arguments’ to arguments from Deductive to Assertion and more.  There are also several formats for Rebuttal to an Argument from Mere Assertion to Ad Hominem (Attacking your opponent personally notice the similarity to Homicide) and more.

One of the most used formats for a Rebuttal to an Argument is as follows:

  • State your position
  • State your opponents position
  • Show how your opponent’s position is in error
  • Restate your position with supporting data.

A.K.A. (YOER)

In regard to ‘A Self-Fulfilling Prophecy’: When one believes in a prophecy and acts according to their belief, the prophecy comes to reality.

Is the prophecy that the Israelites will inherit the Promised Land ‘A Self-Fulfilling Prophecy’?

  • The Israelites were promised the possession of the Canaanite Land by their ancestor Abraham.
  • The Israelites believed in this promise and acted accordingly and the promise became reality. Therefore this is ‘A Self-Fulfilling Prophecy’.
  • The truth of the matter lies in Faith: “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there and it will move.  Nothing will be impossible for you” (Matthew 17:20-21).
  • The Israelites took possession of the Promised Land because they had Faith, not a belief in the promise, but Faith in the God who made the Promise.

Speaking to be Heard

Before one can make an Augment or a Rebuttal they must first be able to be heard by others in the group.  This involves the use of the Diaphragm behind the “Belly Button” to push air over the Vocal Cords and into the Resonate Cavity, (a.k.a. the mouth).  To identify the Diaphragm action sit in a chair with the feet flat on the floor and bend over until the Chest touches the Knees. Put a hand on the Belly and notice the motion of the Diaphragm.  Stand up and reproduce this same motion while speaking (or singing).  Open wide the Resonate Cavity and articulate the words with the Tongue.  Cicero, the great orator of Roman legend, practiced speaking with small stones in his mouth!

In Search of the “Truth” (Writer’s Note)

These protocols date back to the seventieth century French philosopher Rene` Descartes and were modernized during the serial program on radio and television called “Dragnet.”

The first responsibility of an investigator is to separate the facts from opinions.  Sergeant Joe Friday of the Investigative Division of the Los Angeles Police Department, this fictional character in the serial “Dragnet,” often stated when interviewing witnesses, “Just the facts ma’am, just the facts.”

The second responsibility of an investigator is to not form any opinion on the outcome of the investigation.  If an investigator attempts to prove what they know is the correct outcome, they will undoubtedly prove themselves right.  The Innocent Program, to this day, is finding innocent people who have spent years in prison due to these faulty investigations.

The third responsibility of the investigator is to be skeptical of all information assuming the information to be false until proven to be true.

Introduction

The Creator of the Universe (CoU) sent us a messenger to teach us how to function in His creation.  This messenger came as a seed planted into a virgin, grew up and developed in a monotheist society, taught us the ropes of life on this planet and how the processes work. He upset the apple cart of those in power and was executed just as Socrates before him was executed for the same actions.  They called this messenger Jesus and he needed to die so that he could raise from the dead in a new form capable of traveling through space back to His home somewhere in the universe.

The messenger did not come to save anyone. He only taught us how the processes that the CoU put in place – in the beginning of time – worked.  The beginning of time was when the universe was born from an explosion of an egg (recent researchers have photographically shown that the universe is in the shape of an egg; if it is in the shape of an egg now, it was in the shape of an egg at the beginning of time at the occurrence of the “Big Bang”).  An egg precedes all life.

Predestined

All processes in the universe were predestined to take place at their proper time.  All processes includes all that man (the Homo Sapien species) experiences; all life on this planet experiences and all of the processes in the universe experiences.  The process put forward at the Big Bang is perfect in every way. The Messenger came to this planet to teach us these processes and how to function on this planet Earth until it also follows the predestined process, when our sun runs out of hydrogen fuel and implodes under the force of gravity and consumes the Earth, providing material for a new solar system and galaxy to be born, filling in the gaps as the universe continues to expand.

Knowledge of the Processes

One observable process is the changing hormones in our bodies that develop on schedule.  One example of one of these observable processes is the changing focus of our teenage daughters as they develop into womanhood and seek a mate to reproduce our species.  Lack of knowledge of this process can result in much tragedy, as illustrated in the Bible in Genesis 34, concerning a young lady named Dinah.  In a nut-shell, a young teenager left her clan of brothers to find a mate.  Two of her brothers did not have knowledge of this natural process and took it upon themselves to avenge what they thought was the offending parties by slaughtering the whole clan! [i]

Carl Gustav Jung, the founder of analytical psychology, performed an investigation in the1930’s involving men of several different ages.  He asked each participant only one question: “What meaning does God have in your life?”  He found that men younger than thirty-five years of age typically responded with, “God has no meaning in my life” or words to that effect.  With men between the ages of thirty-five to thirty-nine, the typical response was, “God is the most important thing in my life.”   These men had discovered their consciences and their consciences are connected to the CoU!  This is evidence of a process taking place in men, as it does in our teenage daughters.  One can perform this survey themselves. Just ask the newly arrived middle-aged men in your church or religious society how old they are (In addition, ask them if they have an older brother. You will be amazed at this statistic; compare the personalities of James and John, sons of Zebedee).

However, not all men go through this process.  The Messenger taught us about God’s Kingdom being “like a mustard seed, the smallest of all the seeds,” and “when sown, it grows to such a great height that birds rest in its branches.”(Ref.: Gospels of Matthew, Luke, Mark and Thomas).  Also in Matthew and Luke: “To what shall I compare the kingdom of God? It is like leaven that a woman took and hid in three measures of flour, until it was all leavened.”  These parables indicate that we must take an action, be proactive, and sow the seeds that will allow men to discover their conscience that is connected to the CoU.    Evidently, if this small seed is not sown in men’s lives before age thirty-nine, possibly even earlier, they will not discover their conscience.  Even Socrates was quoted as stating that he had a ‘Daimon’  “that frequently warned him—in the form of a ’voice’—against mistakes but never told him what to do.”. [ii] Socrates experienced good guidance by him discovering his conscience.  Was there a seed planted in Socrates at an early age? In the Gospels of Mary Magdalene and Thomas, Jesus stated, “For the child of humanity exists within you,” “The kingdom is inside you and it is outside you,[iii] and “Do not look for me outside of yourself look for me inside yourself.[iv]

The Written Word

All through history, people have put great emphases on allowing the written word to guide them through life.  This writer was once told by a co-worker that one can go through life making and learning from their mistakes or they can learn from other people’s mistakes. For the most part, this is what makes the Old Testament Bible very useful as a guide to one’s own life; learning from their mistakes! This emphasis, as a guide to life, is demonstrated in the Old Testament Bible, particularly the Pentateuch (the first five books of the Bible).   The Israeli nation came into possession of the Promised Land thorough their ancestor Abram (also Abraham) who was promised this land by God.  The family lineage and the eventual possession of this Promised Land took place from ca. 1400 BC to ca. 600 BC. (Note: It is proposed that the Ten Commandments [instructions] were intended to instruct the Israelites how to maintain possession of this land that was given to them.) [v]

During their possession of this Promised Land, King Solomon built a temple in Jerusalem.  This was a place of worship for the Israelis and was an import part of their culture.  The Israeli nation was overthrown and conquered by the Babylonians ca. 597 BCE; Solomon’s Temple was destroyed and the elite of the Israelis were forced into exile in Babylon.  “Babylonian Exile, also called Babylonian Captivity, the forced detention of Jews in Babylonia following the latter’s conquest of the kingdom of Judah in 598/7 and 587/6 BCE. The exile formally ended in 538 BCE, when the Persian conqueror of Babylonia, Cyrus the Great, gave the Jews permission to return to Palestine.” [vi]  It has been proposed that while the elite of the Israelis were in exile, they recorded the Pentateuch in writing from the information that had been passed down through the oral tradition for the past approximately 800 years.  There is some hard evidence to support this hypothesis.

The Seven Stars that Wandered

Early Astronomers observed eight stars that wandered, but it was Pythagoras the Greek astronomer, astrologist, philosopher, and mathematician that identified the morning and evening stars to be the same star.   We now know this star to be the planet Venus. This observation put the date of the discovery of the “Seven Stars that Wandered” during the lifetime of Pythagoras, ca. 570 to ca 495 BCE.  The number seven or seventy occurs numerous times in the Pentateuch as special, spiritual numbers.  There is an overlap of dates of the Israeli exile and the life time of Pythagoras, therefore the exiled Israelis would have known and accepted these seven stars as spiritual, as for them they wandered around the earth (the center of the universe at that time). (Note: Compare our 21st century knowledge of the universe to that of these 6th century BCE astronomers by looking into the asterism of the Big Dipper, which lies within the constellation of Ursa Major. Counting the stars in this scoop of the Big Dipper, you should see only a few stars inside this Big Dipper. However, when the Hubble Telescope focused inside the Big Dipper for several days, it was able to collect enough photons (light) to produce an image of many stars, (million or billions) inside the Big Dipper. Astronomers estimate that some of these distant stars were formed at the time of the Big Bang!) This comparison just shows that we know more about the universe than those who wrote the Bible.

The Pentateuch, now in written form, became the law for the Israelis.  This written law was expanded by the lawmakers and came to dominate their lives, and they lost contact with the CoU and they lost control of their land that was given to them by the CoU.

Jesus and Socrates

Jesus and Socrates had several similar characteristics.  Neither Socrates nor Jesus wrote anything down that would be permanent.  All that we know about Socrates came from his student Plato or Socrates’s near friends.  All we know about Jesus came from his disciples or close acquaintances.  Socrates was a critic of his democratic government that had become corrupt.  Jesus was critic of the Jewish leadership.  Both Socrates and Jesus upset the apple cart of the finances of the ruling class.  Both Socrates and Jesus were condemned to death by their own society.  The democracy of the Greeks was at its pinnacle when they killed Socrates. It then began its downward trend to its end.  Plato characterized Socrates as the gadfly of his democracy (a gadfly is a pesky insect that makes the horse swap its tail).  After His death, Jesus was elevated to the position of Savior of the world.

The Arrival of the Messenger from the Creator of the Universe

All that was predestined to take place on planet Earth was explained through teaching and parables by the Messenger from the Creator of the Universe (CoU).  Like Socrates, the Messenger (Jesus) did not write anything down that was permanent.  He wrote in the sand or dust, but left no written record behind. The Messenger taught us how to get all of our earthly needs met by our Father in Heaven (The Creator of the Universe). We were taught how to live with each other in peace and harmony.  He explained how this planet Earth would one day disappear and that we should make a decision about God’s Kingdom before that happens.

All we know about this Messenger is what was written about him by his disciples and those associated with his disciples. Many written works had been printed by the time of Athanasius, the Archbishop of Alexandria.  Many of these works were ascribed to a disciple of Jesus and were called heretical. On Easter Sunday of 367, the Archbishop of Alexandria presented a list of twenty-seven books that he presented as “The Spring of Salvation.” These are the same twenty-seven books that are in the canonized New Testament Bible.  When The Archbishop sorted through this numerous assortment of written works, he also left off the list those Gospels written by eye witnesses or the followers of these eye witnesses that did not pertain to “Salvation.”  These included the Gospels of: Mary (Magdalene), Thomas, Philip, and Judas. [vii]  Therefore, the Archbishop of Alexandria put his own spin (perspective) on the canonized version of the New Testament Bible, which is identical to his list of twenty-seven books “The Spring of Salvation.”

The Nag Hammadi Scriptures

After the Archbishop presented this list of twenty-seven books he thought to be the most authentic books, the books or writings that were not on this list started disappearing.  The library at Alexandria (known as Library City) was burned to the ground in this same time period.  The library at Antioch was burned to the ground by the ruling Christian Roman Emperor. Evidently, some monks at a monastery in northern Egypt became aware of this disappearance of books and documents related to this coming of the messenger of the CoU.  They most likely are the ones that put together in a time capsule more than fifty tractates into an earthen vase with a sealed lid.  This time capsule was found in 1945 by a gatherer of bird fertilizer beneath the cliffs outside of Nag Hammadi, Egypt. [viii] The Gospel of Mary was found in a garbage dump in northern Egypt and in the grave of a wealth Egyptian who was buried with his books. [ix]

The Gospel of Mary, although fragmented, contains some interesting statements by this messenger from the CoU. “Every nature, every modeled form, every creature exists in and with each other.  They will dissolve again into their own proper root.  For the nature of matter is dissolved into what belongs to its nature.” At the end of the nineteenth century AD, Albert Einstein presented his Theory of Relativity (that energy and matter are interchangeable), which is in agreement with this statement by this messenger from the CoU. As He was dismissing his disciples, He said, “Go then, preach the good news about the kingdom. Do not lay down any rule beyond what I determined for you, nor promulgate law like the lawgiver, or else you might be dominated by it. [x]  He was well-acquainted with the mistakes the Israelites made with their written history.

Like the written law that was transcribed by the elite Israelis while they were in exile in Babylon, from the oral tradition that became the written law for the Israelites, so has the canonized Bible and New Testament supplanted our connection with the CoU to guide us through life on planet Earth.  As stated in the first paragraph of this paper, the investigator’s first priority is to separate the facts from opinion.  Regarding the New Testament, only two writers meet this requirement to write only the facts.

Separate the Facts from Opinion

The writer of Mark was writing as a historian. He was recording the facts that he had obtained from his own observations as a youth and from Peter and the other Apostles.  He was driven into expedience, due to a great fire in Rome, leading to the persecution of Christians in Rome.  Mark made no effort to comment on the facts that he had obtained either first hand or second hand.  Luke wrote as a professional journalist reporting to Theophilus.  His two books, Luke I and Luke II (a.k.a. Acts), obtained facts from eye witnesses and his own experiences.  It is augured by the scholars that both Luke and Matthew referenced the Gospel of Thomas and possible others they designated as “Q” – the unknown referenced documents. [xi]

In the Gospel of Matthew, he apparently wrote to the Jews to convince them that Jesus was the promised Messiah of the Prophets. Although the events that Matthew cited are confirmed in both Luke and Mark, the fact that he had formed an opinion about the outcome of his argument makes this a faulty investigation as per the second requirement of an investigator, as listed above.

In the Gospel of John, he too apparently wrote knowing the outcome of his argument and assumed that he knew the meaning of the facts without the facts themselves being proven to be true, and he made several commentaries on the events and sayings of Jesus.  Although the events and quotations of Jesus are no doubt authentic, this investigation is in violation of both the second and third requirements for an investigator.

The Gospel of Thomas and Mary are self-authenticated by their content.   The Gospel of Thomas is written in a form one would expect from a fisherman (not a man of letters as were Matthew and Luke).  Thomas’s Gospel consists of 114 quoted statements made by Jesus.  The Gospel of Mary contains information not found in any other document, but records the interactions of the Apostles and accurately displays the personality of Peter.  The Gospels of Mary (Magdalene), Thomas, Philip, and Judas are not in the canonized New Testament Bible, as they do not address the issue of salvation.  The Gospel of John is a combination of facts (events) and commentary thus is more of a challenge for the investigator to separate the facts from John’s perspective of the facts.

The Written Word vs. a Personal Connection to the CoU

The written word can cause a conflict with this personal connection to the CoU through our conscious.  This would be the case of any written word (document) that supersedes over this connection to the CoU though our conscience.  At the present time, this connection to the CoU has only been proven to exist in men, and then in only some men.  This could well be because only men were put to the test and women were not seen as important enough to qualify for examination.  Now that the USA and some of the world has liberated women to participate in our religious establishments, businesses and governments now may be the right time to instigate an investigation of women for this connection to the CoU through their consciences. A woman skilled in analytical psychology, as was Carl G. Jung, may be right for this task.

Conclusion (Wrap-Up, To Sum it Up, Takeaways)

Jesus was not the Savior of the World, but the Messenger from the Creator of the Universe as an instructor on the processes predestined to take place at their proper time.

  • Predestined processes include the changing hormones that control our behavior and the awareness of one’s conscience being connected to the Creator of the Universe.
  • For a man to become aware that his conscience is connected to the Creator of the Universe, a seed (as small as a mustard seed) must be planted into him about the “consulting function” of the CoU before the age of thirty-five years.
  • The Pentateuch became written law when transcribed from verbal tradition. The Pentateuch was written during the Jewish exile in Babylon.  This was verified by “The Seven Stars that Wandered,” and seven and seventy becoming spiritual numbers in the Pentateuch.
  • Jesus and Socrates had similar characteristic and neither wrote anything down in a lasting manner.
  • Athanasius, the Archbishop of Alexandria, reviewed all literature attributed to the coming of the Messenger and compiled a list of twenty-seven books (tractates). He introduced to his congregation on Easter Sunday in 367 AD as “The Spring of Salvation.” These are the same twenty-seven books in the canonized New Testament Bible.
  • The Gospels of Mary (Magdalene), Thomas, Philip, and Judas did not make the Archbishop’s list and began to disappear as books, and library burnings took place.
  • The Nag Hammadi Scriptures were in a time capsule, put in place during this period of change in Christianity, containing tractates not on the list of twenty-seven tractates of the Archbishop of Alexandria. This time capsule was discovered in 1945.
  • The written word has superseded over the real-time communication link to the CoU in all religious settings (with few exceptions, meditation etc.).
  • Learning from others’ mistakes! This is demonstrated in many occurrences in the Old Testament as is a guide to life. One can learn from others’ mistakes or they can learn from their own mistakes. This also applies to nations and the Israelite nation which, as recorded in the Bible, was a nation whose mistakes a nation can learn from, and not make those same mistakes and lose control of their property.

The Ten Commandments: A Great Misunderstanding

The Ten Commandments: A Great Misunderstanding Ver. 2.0.4

https://gadflyblog.com/tag/hypothetical-imperatives/

November 5, 2013
Revised December 26, 2018

Introduction

The “Ten Commandments” have been made into a religious symbol and therefore, under a “separation of church and state” policy, a growing number of individuals and organizations think they should be removed from public property. The Ten Commandments were never meant to be religious and this is probably the most disastrous action that could have been initiated into these “Ten Imperatives.” They were meant to develop a strong infrastructure in this “new nation,” making them economically stronger than their competitors that would take their land from them. It is the nation’s economic vitality that makes a nation strong, not its many weapons and troops on the ground.  Philosophically, the Ten Commandments are “hypothetical imperatives,” not “categorical imperatives.” A categorical imperative is something one does because it is the right thing to do. A hypothetical imperative means there is a reward for following the imperative, according to Immanuel Kant, German philosopher of the eighteenth century. Kant thought that there was only one categorical imperative: “Act as if the maxim of thy action were to become by thy will a universal law of nature”[i]. The reward for following the Ten Commandments is that “you may live long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you. (Exodus 20:12). Thus, the Ten Commandments are actually “Ten Hypothetical Imperatives.

“There are two ways to conquer and enslave a nation. One is by the sword. The other is by       debt.”

                        – John Adams, second president of the USA

We are in an economic war with our international competitors and the nation that has the highest “National Economic Operating Efficiency” (NEOE) will own the other nations’ debt. Theoretically, the interest on “the debt” can grow to exceed our taxable “Gross National Product” (GNP) and cost to operate our country. In this case, we will have become slaves to the nation holding our national debt. The Ten Commandments were, and are meant to, form a strong national infrastructure and create a high NEOE, therefore, making us more competitive in the international economic war. This is not by the will of a “Higher Power,” but first year economic principles. The lower a nation’s NEOE, the higher the national debt, and the higher the nation’s NEOE, the lower the National Debt or even a surplus in the budget.

Explanation of the Ten Imperatives: [ii]

The Israelites were enslaved in Egypt for about four hundred years before their exodus under the leadership of Moses. As slaves under the Egyptians, they had become accustomed to receiving “commands.” Once freed from slavery, they did not automatically become free and act like they were free. They had to learn how to be free of slavery. If one were to invite some of these newly freed slaves from Egypt to dinner, they would have interpreted this invitation as a command. In the same way, they interpreted these ten instructions as commands rather than instructions (or hypothetical imperatives) on how to build a strong nation that would result in a strong infrastructure and a high National Economic Operating Efficiency and would not be overrun by its neighboring nations.

The USA has and is having these same phenomena with slaves freed under Proclamation 95, also known as the Emancipation Proclamation, which was a presidential proclamation and executive order issued by United States President Abraham Lincoln on January 1, 1863. [iii]  One hundred and fifty years later, the USA is still struggling with advancing these descendants of slaves into full citizenship and learning to act and communicate as free citizens and be accepted as free equal citizens by the rest of USA society.

  1. You shall have no other Gods before me: Would not any parent tell their children this same thing, that they are the ones responsible for their well-being, so don’t seek advice or help from anyone else? Our Father in Heaven (in the universe) is the one with all the resources and He’s the one who is willing to give us the resources we need to live on this planet.
  2. Do not make yourself an idol: These instructions are to a people that are naturally very religious and they are going to find something to worship that is going to take up their time, energy and resources. This can be extrapolated in modern times to such things as: alcohol, tobacco, drugs, porn, gambling and many more things that can take control of our lives.  The Russian physiologist, Ivan Pavlov, showed us how easy it is to form a habit through conditioned response by rewarding ourselves for a certain behavior (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Classical_conditioning).  In addition, written works such as the Bible, the Koran, documents of Buddha and Confucius quotes can also be made into idols.
  3. You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God: This has been interpreted for centuries as a verbal activity.  But this cannot be a verbal activity; it has to be an actionable activity.   Do not intend to bring harm, discomfort or kill anyone in the name of God.  This applies to our nation, as well as to individuals that make up that nation.  This cannot be both verbal and actionable, because if it were both, someone might make a verbal remark that is taken by someone else as “taking God’s name in vain” and then they choose to bring discomfort to the accused, which is an action in God’s name and therefore, misusing the name of God.   Therefore, verbal and actionable misuse of the name of the Lord your God are mutually exclusive.

Even the Apostle Peter did not understand that misusing the name of the Lord your God is an action,  as he verbally accused two capitalists of withholding funds to the Apostles’ social program after they had sold their land and only gave part of the capital gains to the Apostles.   It appears both the husband and wife may have died from a heart attack after being accused of sinning against God by Peter for withholding part of the capital gains from the sale of their property.

  4. Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy: The best reference I have seen on this subject states that “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath” (Mark 2:27).   We need one day a week to recharge our batteries, spend time with our families and friends.  Everyone needs to choose for themselves what day this will be for them.
  5. Honor your father and your mother, that you might live long, in the land I’m giving you: We need to learn from our parents and respect their wisdom and knowledge. They have seen things first-hand that we will never see.  “Living long in this land” is an economic reality. These Ten Commandments are classified as “hypothetical imperatives”  – something you do because there is a reward for following the imperatives. This is not by the choice of a higher power; it is first year economics.   Any nation that follows these Ten Hypothetical Imperatives will develop a strong infrastructure and a high National Economic Operating Efficiency. The result will be that we will be stronger economically than the nations that would like to take our land from us.

Honoring your father and your mother does not mean to worship your father and your mother.  In particular, our communication skills have progressed past that of our parents. To refuse to move forward with our communication skills because of parent worship is making an idol of your parents.

  6. You shall not murder: Our nation will not advance socially if we are killing each other.  Each of us can contribute to the economics of the nation and we need all our productive citizens to operate efficiently.
  7. You shall not commit adultery: This is probably one of our nation’s most complicated issues. One really needs to connect with this “Personal Counselor,” “Personal Adviser,” or Tour Guide through life that Jesus sent to us at the Pentecost Festival after his ascension into Heaven. Notice these are descriptive terms for what the literature calls the Holy Spirit, or the Holy Ghost. These are known as “Horse Labels” (“This is a horse” or “This is an elephant”), while the former are known as “Descriptive Labels,” as they describe what the entity does. To connect to this Personal Adviser, one only needs to make a decision to want to connect to the adviser, the adviser will find them, and they just need to be prepared to listen to this adviser advising them (something like “a little birdie told me”). This is all you need to do. There are no ceremonies needed – not even a declaration of your decision. This decision is personal, private and confidential information; it is between you and this personal counselor.  (Note; this process may be dependent on the development of the brain which may be age related).
  8. You shall not steal: Theft causes a great inefficiency in our national economic operations.   There are too many police boots on the ground trying to manage these crimes, and building more prisons to hold more prisoners is counterproductive to increasing our Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and increases our national debt.   This could extrapolate to the point where more of our tax dollars are spent building prisons and taking care of inmates than tax dollars allocated to educating the next generations of GDP producers.   Schools and prisons are in competition with each other for funds from the taxpayers. The more funds allocated to prisons, the less funds are allocated to schools that are producing our next generation of GDP producers.  Some states, like California, are making efforts to reduce court-ordered prison population reduction mandates by using loopholes in the law.  They are making assigning felonies more difficult than assigning a misdemeanor to a crime. What should be classified as a felony is being classified as a misdemeanor to keep individuals out of prison.
  9. Or give false witness against thy neighbor: Courts are inherently inefficient; we should not waste our tax dollars on false reports of crimes committed.  It costs dollars to defend oneself against false charges, which may be the objective of the one making the false report,  but we must think of the cost to the tax payers as well as the effects our National Economic Operating Efficiency.
  10. You shall not covet thy neighbor’s house or wife: Be content with what you have. Legal costs to manage greed can be staggering, and the negative social issues that result from divorces are numerous and astounding.   All of this is a drain on our National Economic Operating Efficiency and can have lasting effects on others in our society, down to the next three or four generations.  Increasing violence in the nation, such as mass shootings, is an indication of the increase in breakups of families.

Conclusion

The Ten Commandments have been misinterpreted for centuries, almost as soon as they were given to the new Israelite nation on their exodus from slavery in Egypt.  A more modern approach to understanding these “Ten instructions for forming a strong nation” leads to the citizens of that nation making better choices in their lives which leads to a stronger nation – a nation that will not likely be overrun or become economically in debt to other nations (their national debt).

Bullies

On examination of previous school and public shootings, the term “bullies” has come up possibly as a common denominator.  Given that “bullies” are at the root of the cause of these shootings, I hereby submit my proposal for mitigation of these shooting incidents in the USA.

At the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) in my past experience (18 years ago) and a local church (current to date), I have noticed that the number of persons developing the “only-child syndrome” in regard to the bully complex has increased.  The number of “only children has increased dramatically in the past twenty years. This could explain the increase in school violence, as more bully and more passive aggressive personalities would result in more conflict.

During my last several years at LLNL, I was often paired up with the new employees that were exhibiting this bully communication style, since I had been through the special training to transform an aggressive communicator to an assertive Communicator (for good reasons).   The basic tip-off that I was dealing with an only child bully was that, on meeting them the first time, or sometime after, they would hit me with a blast of criticism. Dr. Kevin Leman wrote a separate chapter in his latest book on the subject, titled The Lonely Only: Super Firstborn Only Children. [i] In it, he listed the Strengths and Weaknesses of Only Children. [ii]

Assertive communicators make very good team players and the basic group at LLNL could be termed a “task force to accomplish a mission.”  A synopsis of the methods used to transform the bullies to an assertive communicator is given below.

Proposal to Mitigate Public Shootings

Communication Styles

The pundits of communication have identified four styles of communication that pretty much describe all of our citizens.  They are identified by four different characteristics.

Passive Aggressive Submissive Assertive Aggressive
You win; I lose, but I will get you back You win; I lose You win; I win I win; you lose
Snake-in-the-grass Doormats Adults Tyrant
Loser to tyrant Child to adult Adult to adult Adult to child

Becoming a Passive Aggressive, Submissive or Aggressive communicator is a function of birth-order and environmental knowledge learned early in life (less than six years old).  Becoming an Assertive Communicator is a function of training and education.   A slight modification of this standard chart to accommodate the Bullies in our schools and society is as follows:

Passive Aggressive Submissive Assertive Aggressive
You win; I lose, but I will get you back You win; I lose You win; I win I win; you lose
Snakes in the Grass Child to adult Adult to adult Tyrant to child,  only child syndrome
Shooters Doormats Adults Bullies

At the LLNL, (in my past experience) dealing with bullies was a standard and common practice. LLNL is well known for allowing only the best and the brightest through the front door.  Academically, the firstborns in their family and only children or children raised as only children (functional only children) were typically at the top of their class in college, [iii] Therefore, LLNL was made up of personnel that were predominately in these two categories, and therefore it was not unusual for LLNL to have a significant number of bullies.  This situation was mitigated by having an on-contract professional communication specialist who conducted seminars at LLNL.  When a bully made themselves known to management, they were encouraged to attend these communication seminars.

The following could be called the Ten Commandments (Ten Guidelines) for communication.  The objective for all of society, including schools, is to become assertive communicators (You win; I win).

Interpersonal Communication Techniques Explained [iv]

“It  doesn’t matter how you became what you are; this is what works.Manuel J. Smith, Ph.D.

(1) Broken Record: A skill, by calm repetition – saying what you want over and over again – teaches persistence without you having to rehearse arguments or angry feelings beforehand, in order to be ‘up’ for dealing with others.

Effect: Allows you to feel comfortable in ignoring manipulative verbal side traps, argumentative baiting, irrelevant logic, while sticking to your desired point.

(2) Fogging: A skill that teaches acceptance of manipulative criticism by calmly acknowledging to your critic the probability that there may be some truth in what he says, yet allows you to remain your own judge of what you do.

Example: That’s true. I …”

Effect: Allows you to receive criticism comfortably without becoming anxious or defensive, while giving no reward to those using manipulative criticism.

(3) Free Information: A skill that teaches the recognition of simple cues given by a social partner in everyday conversation to indicate what is interesting or important to that person.

Effect: Allows you to feel less shy in entering into conversation while at the same time prompting social partners to talk more easily about themselves.

(4) Negative Assertion: A skill that teaches acceptance of your errors and faults (without having to apologize) by strongly and sympathetically agreeing with hostile or constructive criticism of your negative qualities.

Effect: Allows you to look more comfortably at negatives in your own behavior or personality without feeling defensive and anxious, resorting to denial of real error, while at the same time reducing our critic’s anger or hostility.

Example:You didn’t do too well in (criticism).” “You’re right. I wasn’t too smart in the way I handled that, was I?” “That was a dumb thing for me to do.” Use this technique in non-legal matters ONLY!

(5) Negative Inquiry: A skill that teaches the active prompting of criticism in order to use the information (if helpful) or exhaust it (if manipulative), while prompting your critic to be more assertive and less dependent on manipulative ploys.

Effect: Allows you more comfortably to seek out criticism about yourself in close relationships while prompting the other person to express honest negative feelings and improve communication.

Example: “What was it about … that is wrong?”  “What was it that I … that was wrong?”

(6) Self-Disclosure: A skill that teaches the acceptance and initiation of discussion of both the positive and negative aspects of your personality, behavior, lifestyle intelligence, to enhance social communication and reduce manipulation.

Effect: Allows you comfortably to disclose aspects of yourself and your life that previously caused feelings of ignorance, anxiety, or guilt.”

Example: “I like …” or “I don’t like …”, etc.

(7) Workable compromise: In using your verbal assertive skills, it is practical, whenever you feel that your self-respect is not in question, to offer a workable compromise to the other person.  You can always bargain for your material goals unless the compromise affects your personal feelings of self-respect.  If the end goal involves a matter of your self-worth, however, there can be no compromise.

(8) Reflective or Active Listening

Reflective or active listening serves a couple of purposes.  1) The target summarizes or paraphrases what the verbal bully is saying and confirms their complaint or position.  2) The target is given time to think of their response.  This technique is something like counting to ten before returning the punch!  3) If the verbal bully is attacking with a question, repeat or rephrase the question, and then answer the question.  This technique also allows the target time to think before responding. This technique is sometimes used by politicians, only they may even go so far as to change the question to one they can answer!

(9) Expand Your Repertoire of Emotional Words

(10) Find or Organize a Group to Practice these New Communication Skills

11) Pass on Your New Communication Skills to Someone Else.

Discussion

The big question is: can these assertive communication techniques change the personalities of the aggressive bullies and the passive aggressive shooters? Will the aggressive and the passive aggressive use these techniques to advance their own agendas? An alternative would be to place the only children who tend to be aggressive in the same classes so they are matched with students of the same aggressive personalities. In the 1980’s, China enacted their “One Child Only” policy. That would mean that China is ahead of the USA in dealing with these aggressive personalities, as all the children in China would be only children. However, as Dr. Kevin Leman has observed, “When it comes to finding the perfect mate, only children are like vanilla ice cream—they go together with everything, except another only child.” [v] It looks like China has recognized this trend of incapability of two only children as mates and has enacted a new policy of two-child families. However, this policy will not produce the middle born peace-keepers and natural negotiators.

As purposed in an earlier letter, a task force could be assembled at a local church consisting of persons who have been members of the Explorers group for several years. This group could act as a pilot program for proof of principle and a problem-solving task force. My observation is that at least one of these members is an only child who has been through these assertive training programs, along with a much younger only child involved in the education system. Therefore, this mix of personalities should produce a successful task force.

The Transportation of Youths to the USA for Farm Labor

“The Top Gun National Crises Troubleshooter,” Retired

https://gadflyblog.com/tag/trafficking

5/5/2018

Introduction

Frontline, the news program for PBS, aired the results of an “Investigation into Human Trafficking into the USA” in April of 2018.. [i] They reported a network of solicitors, smugglers, U.S. Department of Immigration Human Resources and sponsors for these imported youths.  The sponsors turned out to be food producers.  An example of egg producers in the Midwest, where a million eggs are produced daily in egg producing plants using chickens to produce the eggs was shown on film.  These youths were required to work long hours (10 hours per day), lived in substandard housing and somehow were able to attend a school of education supported by the taxpayers of the USA.

Shortage of Farm Workers

When interviewers (people no longer associated with the network) related the shortage of farm workers in the USA and how it was necessary to import foreign labor, in this case from Central America, to meet production demands, it became apparent that the citizens of the USA own this problem.  It’s no surprise that youths are required to supply the necessary labor to farm producers.

This is not a new idea; this writer picked string beans in the fields when he was in elementary school.  In fact, school did not start until after the harvest was reaped!  In fact youth labor was used after school and on weekends and during summer vacation from school.  This writer worked at the motel just across the street cleaning rooms, making beds and maintaining the grounds including the planting of petunias around the large property every year.  In addition, at age twelve, he qualified, age-wise, to have a paper route.  During high school, he worked in the local food market, boning meat to make hamburger, cutting up chickens, manning the meat counter, stocking shelves and sweeping the floor. At least in this case, he was old enough to qualify for minimum wage.

The big difference between this writer’s working as a youth for these service and food providers was that he was still under the control of his parents, who made sure advantage was not taken of him and that he was learning to work for a living.  These youths that are being imported from Central America are here with their parents’ permission, but are not under the supervision or control of their parents and advantage is being taken of them.

Where are the USA’s Youth?

In the USA’s history, youths learned how to work for a living.  They either worked on the family farm, performing functions they were capable of performing, or were, at a minimum, required to perform duties around the family home to earn an allowance.  In this twenty-first century, the USA is teaching their children to learn how to have fun.  They participate in Little League, soccer leagues, hockey leagues, basketball camps, dance school, music school, and  even summer Bible school and summer camps. So when they grow up into adulthood, they have learned to work to have fun in the sun.

America Owns the Problem

The parents of these youths have often surrendered the deed to their home for a loan to pay the smugglers to transport their children to the USA.  When the children have worked in the USA and earned enough money to pay off the loan, then the deed to their property is returned.  Therefore, the parents of these youths are sponsoring their children to go to the USA and work as farm laborers to produce food for the citizens of the USA.  This is the same scenario that the USA parents were performing, but these imported youths are not under the supervision and control of their parents and advantage is being taken of them.

One may ask why these food producers are not checking to be sure they have legal immigrant youths working in their production plants.  The short answer is that they need this labor to produce the food the USA needs and they don’t want to know if these youths are legal immigrants or not.  No knowledge implies they are not responsible.

The immigration authorities of the USA have different views on who is responsible for this situation and have arrested, convicted and imprisoned smugglers in the smuggling network.  But are those in these smuggling networks, who are helping the families living in poverty in Central America, really the guilty parties or are the citizens of the USA the guilty parties?  Advantage is being taken of these farm labor youths because the USA’s youth are not available for this type of work.

Identify the Right Problem to Solve

The first step in any troubleshooting situation is to identify the right problem to solve before attempting to solve the first option to surface.  If the right problem to solve is not where the effort is being made, then the real problem will get worse.  In this case, it looks like there are two or three issues contributing to the problem.  First, the USA’s youth are not available to perform the tasks that the immigrant youths are performing. Second, the food producers need to keep prices for their products down to supply America with food.  Third, the families in Central America are living in poverty and, in all likelihood, this is influenced by the lack of action or priorities by the citizens of the USA.  Have we overdone the child labors laws in the USA that we are now required to import youths from our neighbors in Central America?  What actions to the citizens of the USA need to take to remedy this injustice?  It is this troubleshooter’s experience that “once a problem is solved, the solution is simple,” so let’s not make this too complicated.

National Security and Worship

National Security and Worship

“The Top Gun National Crises Troubleshooter”, Retired

https://gadflyblog.com/tag/worship

4/28/2018

The purpose of this letter is to keep you in the loop of discussions concerning National Security and Worship.  I am presently in discussions with two groups: The Task Force at a local community church and a young pastor (with a college age son) connected with the Southern Baptist Convention.  In regard to justification for “Worship”, both these groups brought forward I Timothy (Paul passing the Gospel Baton to the much younger Timothy) as justification for “Worship”.

As a National Crises Troubleshooter for the past 55 years (with a short break for college where I graduated at the top of my class and received an offer to come to Livermore at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory where I earned the reputation as “The Top Gun National Crises Troubleshooter”), my interests, of course, include national security.  I learned about national security of the Israelite nation while teaching fourth grade Sunday school at TC.  It appears the Israelites had a slight problem understanding the guidelines that were given to them that would have made their new nation successful.  It also appears the Apostles had a slight problem with understanding the instructions that the messenger (the Representative of the Creator of the Universe, or “RoCoU”) they called Jesus gave to them on His exit from this planet Earth.

The Time Line:

  • The Israelites took the Ten Guidelines for a successful nation as literal commands.
  • The Israelites actually made a religion around these Ten Guidelines they took as Ten Commandments.
  • The Israelites were overrun by their neighbors the Babylonians and their elites forced into exile.
  • While in exile, the Israelite elites recorded the first five books of the Old Testament, which included their Ten Commandments.
  • The Israelites were allowed to return to their destroyed homeland and rebuild.
  • The Israelites were conquered by the Romans.
  • The RoCoU came to Earth as a seed in a virgin called Mary.
  • He grew up in this Israelite community now controlled by the Romans.
  • On obtaining the age of about thirty, He took on his assignment to form a task force that would take his teachings throughout the world.
  • After about three years of teaching and forming this task force, He put into action the path to return back to his home somewhere in the universe.
  • To travel through empty space, His body had to change from matter into energy.  This new body form would enable Him to leave this planet and make His way back home. He had to die and resurrect from the dead to change into this new body form of energy. [i]
  • After His resurrection from the dead and before leaving this planet, He instructed his followers to: “Go then, preach the good news about the kingdom.  Do not lay down any rule beyond what I determined for you, nor promulgate law like the lawgivers or else you might be dominated by it.[ii]
  • What this RoCoU, who they called Jesus, taught his followers during his time on Earth would now be called a paradigm shift.  A new paradigm is not dependent on the old or existing paradigm but is entirely a new way of interpreting the exiting data. [iii]
  • The followers of the RoCoU – the Apostles including Paul (Saul) – could not separate this new paradigm from the old or existing paradigm and what they brought to the world was a hybrid of the old and new paradigm.  In other words, they put their own perspective (spin) on the teachings of the RoCoU.
  • The four books that are now available that present the teachings of the RoCoU without adding their own perspective (spin) to the evidence are: Mark, Luke I & II (also known as Acts), the Gospel of Thomas (thought possibly to be one of the “Q” sources, which was a hypothetical first century list of Jesus’s sayings referenced by both Mathew and Luke, (with a wide range of possible dates from the mid-first century to the fourth century), the Gospel of Mary (attributed to the teachings of Mary Magdalene, but probably written in the second century by non-Jews (Gentiles)). [iv]
  • Athanasius, The Archbishop of Alexandria, who sent out an Easter letter all over Egypt in the spring of 367, ordering believers to reject what be called ‘illegitimate and secret books’…. also included a list of twenty-seven books of which he approved, calling them the ‘springs of salvation’.  Strikingly, the twenty-seven books he names in this letter are precisely those that came to constitute the collection we call the ‘New Testament’ for which this letter provides our earliest known list.“
  • “But apparently some monks defied the archbishop’s order to reject all the rest; instead, they saved and protected over fifty texts from their library by sealing them in a heavy jar and burying them away from the monastery walls, under the cliff where they were found sixteen hundred years later[v] (1945).  Is this then a time capsule?
  • The books of I & II Timothy were evidently written by Paul while he was in chains in Rome. The aged Paul is passing the proverbial torch of the Gospel to the much younger Timothy, who Paul was quite familiar with through Timothy’s mother and grandmother.  Paul, in his first letter to Timothy in chapter 2 of the NIV Bible, is telling Timothy how he wants the women of the church to dress, wear their hair and accessories appropriate for “women to perform good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God.”
  • Considering our National Security is at risk I don’t think the mention of “worship” in I Timothy can justify not following the second of the Ten Guidelines: a successful nation should not be overrun by its enemies!
  • In general, Paul’s theology is that Christians sacrificing their bodies to God as workman for God. This is Paul’s new definition of “worship.”
  • Does this new definition of “worship” exempt us from the benefits provided by the second of the Ten Guidelines for a successful nation?  Or does this new definition result in a nation operating at such a low operating efficiency that their national debt becomes unpayable with their GDP?  As our second president John Adams stated, “There are two ways to conquer a nation: war and debt.”
  •  My personal experience is that people who place their life’s priority on worship cause much of the turmoil in the world.  It seems we cannot all agree on who or how we are worshiping and this results in discourse, both nationally and personally.  It looks as though worship creates “sacred cows” that must be protected to the death.
  • My high school girlfriend did not receive any of my letters when I came out west. She was brought up Catholic and I was brought up Lutheran, so those were justifiable reasons for someone who has a priority in protecting their “sacred cow” to intercept my letters.  When I got her on the phone, planning to attend a 35-year class reunion, the first thing I heard was, “You have a lot of explaining to do!”  She had been searching for me for thirty-five years!
  • When my wife of Catholic upbringing reacted to my joining a Baptist Church (a heretic church as she had been taught), she felt a great need to rescue the children from the heretics and filed and proceeded through with a divorce!
  • My daughter, who was twelve at the conclusion of these divorce proceedings, was in the full custody of her mother and no visitation rights to her father.  My daughter never received any of the half dozen expensive music boxes that I brought to her home with her mother for her birthday and Christmas gifts.  Was her mother protecting her children from the heretics?  What kind of worship do these actions represent?  Is the church of your youth a “sacred cow?”
  • Worship does not create cohesion of those who call themselves Christian, but worship causes discourse not only among Christians, but of non-Christians.
  • I have accounts of two Protestant churches that I’ve been involved with during the past thirty-eight years that illustrate the same point as the two above, and that is that worship creates “sacred cows” that must be defended at all cost even to the detriment of church members in good standing.
  • The Protestant churches have a major inertia problem preventing them from moving forward with new enlightenment.  That problem is professional Christians.  Professional Christians must “preach to the choir.”  That is they have to teach the children and adults of the church the same doctrine as their parents and themselves were taught or these church members will vote with their feet and leave that church for another church, taking their church contributions with them.  This leaves the professional Christians without an income.  Paul, as a tent maker, had the right idea. Paul being supported by the members of his churches was a good idea in theory, but not practical in execution.
  • Then there are those who worship God with a different name or in a different tradition than any of the Christian sects.  Some of these extremists are threating our own national security today!
  • Claiming that we can redefine worship to give a different purpose to our lives, as Paul intended, is well and good in theory but, in practice, the same results are obtained as if these were the worship of idols as stated in the second of the Ten Guidelines for a successful nations!
  • Worship is not mentioned or even given and honorable mention in John chapters 14 & 16.  The focus on the departure from this planet Earth is on the RoCoU sending us a personal advocate, counselor, Holy Spirit, etc. to guide us through this life on Earth.

Summary

In regard to national security, nothing that man has thought up could surpass this gift of a personal guide through life. There is no possibility that a “sacred cow” could be made of this gift and therefore not a threat to our national security or discourse within our nation among our citizens.

Conclusion

In a nutshell, the Ten Guidelines, Ten Codes of Conduct, or, as the religious demand, Ten Commandments recorded in Exodus chapter twenty were given to a new-forming nation that was given land to build their nation.  These Ten Guidelines, when followed, would give this new nation a high economic operating efficiency.   Their national debt would not be skyrocketing out of control, exceeding their capacity to even make payments on the interest to the loans from other countries.  They would be a stronger nation than their competitors’ nations and would not be overrun by their neighbors.  These Ten Guidelines are all about national security and influence to the world.

Introduction

I have been researching the history of the Israelite Nation and New Testament writings.  As a National Crises Troubleshooter of some forty years, I have found it necessary to identify the problem correctly before attempting to solve a problem. In my research I came across a paper published by Diana Baumrind of Cal Berkeley (http://persweb.wabash.edu/facstaff/hortonr/articles%20for%20class/baumrind.pdf, EBSCO Pub. 2003, PP 890-91/). In this paper, the researchers observed two different styles of parents: authoritarian and authoritative parents.  In short, authoritarian parents issue commands to their children and authoritative parents act as guides to their children. I applied this information to Exodus chapter 20.  I found an authoritative parent.

Authoritarian vs Authoritative Perspectives

This Israelite nation had been given land to build a new nation. They were, according to my NIV Bible, given the Ten Commandments to follow, supposedly to make them a strong nation, economically efficient and stronger than competing nations.  An authoritative parent would have given Ten Guidelines to follow, and if they followed these Ten Guidelines, they would become a successful nation.  There is a big difference between commands and guidelines – it is a sense of one’s perspective.

Commands Vs Guidelines

Commands leave no room for the intellect of man; commands are to be followed verbatim.  A guideline leaves room for the intellect of man and makes them responsible for their own success.   Applying this metric to Exodus 20:4-6 gives us a different perspective. “You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below.  You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to thousands who love me and keep my commandments.”

The Investigative Process

The historians and archeologists have investigated the history of these Israelites.  Historians place the writing of the first five books of the Bible during the time they were exiled in Babylon. Thinking that their nation had come to an end, they were motivated to record their history.  The first responsibility of an unbiased investigator is to “separate the facts from opinion.”  Applying this time-tested investigative protocol, that has been used since the seventieth century, to Exodus 20:4-6 results in some extra add-on supplemental information. A command is just that – a command. It does not include an explanation of the command or any supplemental information – it is just a command. That given, Exodus 20:6 is out for sure, and Exodus 20:5 is questionable as it gives superfluous information and authority.  The word “worship” in Exodus 20:5 does look to have some relevance to the Christian society of the twenty-first century.

Worship Centers in the USA and International

Did the Christian Church not get the message of Exodus 20:4(5)?  This writer has noticed that children who became adults and were raised by authoritarian parents tend to see things from an authoritarian point of view, which is that instructions are commands. Children who became adults and were raised by authoritative parents tend to see instructions as guidelines.  If these Ten Guidelines were meant to develop a strong nation, economically with a high national operating efficiency, then why do we have so many centers for worship in this nation?  Does not worship cause division rather than cohesion?

A Case of Mistaken Identity

Introduction

The path to world peace is much simpler than anyone has imagined. Peace on Earth could come down to one word: “worship” and a case of mistaken identity.

World peace has not been known since the Homo sapiens evolved on the planet and started their expansion across the globe.  Some other homos also evolved – such as the Homo Neanderthal – but the Homo sapiens (wise Homo) dominated the planet Earth.  Conflict often resulted from competition for natural resources or over territorial boundaries.  With the advent of ice ages and low sea levels, the Homo sapiens populated the globe.  Due to different climates, these Homo sapiens evolved to match their environment.  As populations grew and resources became scarce, wars of expansion dominated the globe for centuries.

There is a place in the Mediterranean known as the Fertile Crescent, where agriculture replaced the hunters and gathers and permanent communities and cities began to appear as the ice age receded.  As part of the evolution of man, worship was a key element in almost all of the societies on the planet.  Worship took on different forms, from sun worshipers to human sacrifices to the gods.

The Old Paradigm [i]

According to the history recorded in the Old Testament of the Bible, there was a transition to worshiping one God, the Creator of the Universe (CoU).  This one God guided his chosen group of Homo sapiens to a new way of life, hopefully as an example for others to follow.  This group of Homo sapiens was led though many successes and failures and established themselves as dominant in a new land in the Fertile Crescent.   The CoU gave them ten guidelines to follow that would make them successful in their possession of this new land.  These guidelines, if followed, would produce an economically efficient nation that would prove them superior to those who would dispossess them of this new land.  This new nation then made a new religion of these ten guidelines and they became an economically inefficient nation and were overrun by the neighboring nations.

The Arrival of the Messenger

The Romans made a significant advancement to civilization by constructing roads, which connected the communities they had conquered.   The three factors of agriculture, roads and a society that worshiped one God, the CoU, provided the only place on the planet that the representative of the creator of the universe (RoCoU), a.k.a. Jesus, could visit and have His message spread across the globe. [ii]

The New Paradigm

The old paradigm [iii] consisted of the ten guidelines, along with many man made laws to follow that became stricter as a fix for failures. As time progressed, more laws were made to bring their society into compliance with worshiping their one God.

The RoCoU brought in a new paradigm for the relationship with the CoU.  The major element of this new paradigm is the “Personal Counselor,” a.k.a. The Holy Spirit that He sent to us, after he had returned to his place in the universe, to guide us through life and teach us everything we needed to know.

The Derailment of the New Paradigm

Ironically, this society had evolved and formed a society that worshiped this one God, the CoU. When the RoCoU arrived with His message, He was crucified, then resurrected from the dead, and ascended into heaven (the universe), and then they also began worshiping this RoCoU. They totally missed the second guideline, given in Exodus 20:4 in the Old Testament Bible, as they had made idols of the CoU and the RoCoU.   “You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below, You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to thousands who love me and keep my Commandments (guidelines).” (NIV)  The big problem with idols is that they become “sacred cows” and must be defended to the death of those worshiping these idols.

The followers (Apostles, Disciples) of this RoCoU, chosen to carry His message to the population of the Earth, were chosen due to their lack of expertise in the old paradigm, and thus were trainable without the need to deprogram their religious expertise (see accounts of Nicodemus’ conversation with the RoCoU in the New Testament Bible, John 3:1-13).  However, the twelve Apostles (Disciples), could not break away from the Old Paradigm to the exclusivity of the New Paradigm, but instead presented the RoCoU as a progression of the Old Paradigm, a case of mistaken identity.

Through the writing of the Gospel and commentaries in the New Testament of the Bible, most of the writers put their own perspective (spin) on the events of the time or used the events and evidence as an argument that the RoCoU was a completion of the promised savior that had been predicted in the Old Paradigm (Prophets can predict that a messenger will come, but they cannot predict the message of the messenger).   The results of this spin on the events and evidence of the time have been passed down through history are a hybrid of the Old Paradigm and the New Paradigm, in effect “a watered-down New Paradigm.” Only the writings of Mark, who wrote as an historian, and Luke, who wrote as a commissioned journalist, are free of the writer’s perspective. Mark evidently wrote hastily in anticipation of being caught up in the turmoil of the persecution of Christians in Rome.  Mark observed some of the protocols of journalism in recording in his journals, as in he answered who, what, and where of the events, but did not include the “why,” which was the spin that other writers put on the events and evidence.  Mark included the good, the bad, and the ugly, which is evidence of his unbiasedness.

The Nag Hammadi Scriptures

The Nag Hammadi Scriptures were found in 1945 outside the Egyptian community of Nag Hammadi not far from a monastery, buried as a time capsule, below the nearby cliffs. These Scriptures (inspired, revered spiritual writings) were discovered by Muhammad Ali, a gather of bird fertilizer beneath the cliffs.  In the time period of the late third century, huge changes occurred in the Christian community. “Irenaeus of Lyon, who wrote around 160 CE, had discussed –and denounced—passages from the Secret Book of John, discovered complete at Nag Hammadi” “Athanasius, the archbishop of Alexandria, who sent out an Easter letter all over Egypt in the spring of 367, ordering believers to reject what he called “illegitimate and secret books.” He included a list of twenty-seven books of which he approved, calling them the ‘springs of salvation.’“ [iv] These are the same twenty-seven books that constitute the New Testament Bible! Scholars think that possibly “The Gospel of Thomas” and the “Gospel of Mary” are the most important and earliest records of the teachings of Jesus, possibly from the middle of the first and the second centuries.[v]  “The Gospel of Thomas” is a list of sayings of Jesus. “The Gospel of Mary (not contained in the Nag Hammadi codices) was probably ascribed to Mary Mandala; it does not seem possible a Jewish author for this gospel.  The ascription may point instead to an early Christian group that appealed to her for apostolic authority, much as other communities in the second century were appealing to Paul, Peter, Thomas, or other apostles to authorize their teaching.” [vi]

At the end of the third century, the libraries of Alexandria and Antioch were destroyed by fire.  Books not on the list put out by Athanasius were disappearing.  The monks at the monastery near the cliffs outside Nag Hammadi could very well be the ones who put these codices in a sealed vase and buried them below the cliffs outside of Nag Hammadi.

The Gospel writers Luke and Matthew apparently referenced document(s) that are referred to as “Q.”  “The Gospel of Thomas” could very well be this document “Q,” or one of the documents in “Q.” They also could have referenced the wittings of Mark. In any case, the Council of Trent canonized the twenty-seven books identified by Athanasius, the archbishop of Alexandria in the mid 1500 CE.

The End Times

The end times were predicted not only by the RoCoU, but by the Apostle John in the book of Revelation.  The RoCoU described the end times as coming like a bolt of lightning. [vii]  John described the end times as a conquering of the Earth with the truth and a new Earth would be born. [viii]

Cosmologists describe the end times as the sun exhausting its supply of hydrogen that is consumed by its nuclear fusion reaction.  This reaction provides an equilibrium force against the force of gravity.  One of two actions follow this burnout: 1) the sun will collapse under the force of gravity into what is known as a black hole; 2) as the sun is collapsing it will rebound into a supernova.  The forces from this supernova will be so violent, that the helium and other metals and compounds will be dissociated into their elements (helium back to hydrogen, etc.), providing the elements that will be attracted by gravity and form new suns and new planets.  The creation process will begin anew and the universe will continue to expand. [ix]

What will become of planet Earth is up to speculation.  One possibility is that Jupiter, a large gas planet of mostly hydrogen, will attract these new free hydrogen molecules through the force of gravity and a nuclear fusion reaction will be ignited, turning Jupiter into a new sun.  This idea is totally speculative, and open to anyone’s imagination.

The Apostle John, in his book of Revelation, thinks a new Earth will be born and a New Jerusalem with all of the latest in trimmings, will descend from the heavens and life on this new Earth, for those who were judged according to what they had done and whose names are in the Book of Life, will have no more death or mourning or crying or pain. [x]

The book of Revelation is best understood when understanding that symbolism was used to convey more information than could be conveyed by words. [xi]  Viewing this New Jerusalem as a symbol for the New Earth, could give us a view of the New Earth.

Conclusion

  • To repeat: the major focus of the new Paradigm is the “Personal Counselor”, a.k.a. The Holy Spirit that was sent to us by the RoCoU to guide us through life and teach us everything we need to know. [xii] This is the New Paradigm shift and is exclusive of the Old Paradigm, and not a progression of the Old Paradigm. Thus, the path to world peace is this simple: just listen for this counselor and He will find you, guide you and teach you.
  • Do not make yourself an idol and worship your idol: not God, Jesus, Allah, Mohamed, Buddha, Confucius; the cross, the Star of David, the Bible, the New Testament, the Quran, or any written works. Anything that will take control of your decision-making, such as alcohol, tobacco, drugs of all kinds, etc. become idols, and addictions become sacred cows and sacred cows need to be defended at all costs until death! Therefore, The Path to World Peace is to eliminate all worship for it is worship that creates sacred cows and causes differences that must be defended. Worship is an artifact of ancient man.  Stay in control of your life by listening to the Personal Counselor that the RoCoU sent to you.

Q.E.D.

Generally speaking, the errors in religion are dangerous; those in philosophy only ridiculous.” David Hume (7 May 1711 – 25 August 1776) was a Scottish philosopher, historian, economist, and essayist, known especially for his philosophical empiricism and skepticism. He is regarded as one of the most important figures in the history of Western philosophy and the Scottish Enlightenment.

A Caveat

Most all of the animal life on earth is in a predator-prey relationship, e.g. everything in the jungle is food for everything in the jungle.  Predator-prey relationships keep the population of both within the available food supply.  The Homo sapiens do not have a natural predator to regulate their population within the boundaries of their food supply. There is or were pandemics that reduced the population of Homo sapiens in great numbers, but we have conquered most of these population regulating devices. Given that populations will increase to the limit of the supply of resources, to maintain the balance of supply and demand of resources, more antibiotic resistant viruses will be present in the future causing pandemics. Combined with wars to reduce the populations of the world, it is probable these two events will continue.

Q.E.D.

[i] “A paradigm shift (also radical theory change) a concept identified by the American physicist and philosopher Thomas Kuhn (1922–1996), is a fundamental change in the basic concepts and experimental practices of a scientific discipline. Kuhn contrasted these shifts, which characterize a scientific revolution, to the activity of normal science, which he described as scientific work done within a prevailing framework (or paradigm). In this context, the word “paradigm” is used in its original Greek meaning, as ‘example’.”

A Paradigm in the Social Sense:

“In Kuhn’s view, the existence of a single reigning paradigm is characteristic of the natural sciences, while philosophy and much of social science were characterized by a “tradition of claims, counterclaims, and debates over fundamentals.” Others have applied Kuhn’s concept of paradigm shift to the social sciences” (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paradigm_shift/)

Addendum

In the Gospel of Mary, the Savior (RoCoU) taught, in the end time, that matter would return to its origin.  Albert Einstein’s Theory of Relativity is supportive of this process.  Energy (E) and matter (M) are related to the speed of light (C) in E=MC2.  Energy and matter are interchangeable; energy becomes matter and matter becomes energy.  As a particle of matter is accelerated close to the speed of light, the particle increases in mass and losses energy thus the particle slows down.  Light from the sun is corpuscular and travels as a wave. When the sun’s rays impinge on matter on Earth, the corpuscular matter is converted into energy, giving life to everything on Earth in one form or another.

The RoCoU

The RoCoU came to Earth, seen as just a speck of dust on the viewer’s screen from the camera on a Space Probe as it was leaving our Solar System, as a seed implanted into a virgin named Mary.  He grew up in this special group of Homo sapiens who recognized one God and became a teacher.  He selected a small group of members of this society (Apostles) and taught them how to live life on this planet Earth and how to communicate with the CoU to get all their material needs met.  He asked these Apostles to carry His message to the rest of the world.  His mission accomplished, he must now return to His home in the universe.  Therefore, He must change His form into a form compatible with travel through the universe, as He cannot do this in human form, He must die and resurrect in a new form capable to travel faster than the speed of light to His home in the universe.

For many years after the airplane was invented and outfitted with jet engines and rockets the popular thought was that the sound barrier could not be broken.  An airplane or rocket could not travel faster than the speed of sound.  On October 14, 1947, Charles Edward (Chuck) Yeager, a test pilot for the U.S. Air Force, broke the sound barrier (Mach 1) in a Bell X-1, a rocket powered aircraft.  Could the same thing be true of the speed of light?  Can the barrier of the speed of light be broken by material converting to energy?  This is certainly food for thought for future generations.

The Presidential Election of 2016 is over and a new president has been elected.  Fortunately for the nation it was not another “Firstborn President”, whom have the reputation of getting the nation involved in wars and conflicts of all kinds with their “Must Win” attitudes.  Check the data yourself on “Birth-Order, Presidents and Wars” on the internet. [i]  You will also find in this data that “Middleborn Presidents” have gotten the nation out of more wars and conflicts than any of the other “Birth-Order Presidents” .  Some of these recent “middle-born presidents” were D. Eisenhower, R. Nixon, J. F. Kennedy, R. Reagan and G.H.W. Bush.

But you may have inadvertently found a new way to elect our president!  Your vocal and public negative opinion of the leader of Russia may have inspired them to work against you in this election through  negative propaganda against your presidency!  The old saw that “People who live in glass houses should not throw rocks”, applies.   It appears that anyone with a vote wants something for their vote.  You promised more government entitlements for votes and citizens seem to want more government entitlements, so you got their votes.  Before we, as a nation, empowered all the citizens with a vote for the president, this assignment was to the state legislatures, thus “The Electoral College”.   But the state legislatures also wanted something for their votes!  Now with your help we have international leaders casting their vote for our president and I suppose they want something for their votes!  Could it be they have chosen the person that they want to negotiate terms of agreements with?

True “Middleborn Children” grow up in the precarious position between two same sex siblings and must learn how to negotiate for their “Space”.  [ii]  We now have a “Middleborn President” and we are moving forward in a negotiating manner.  In the 90’s I sent you kudos for your example of “Keeping the family fortune intact”, the wives responsibility [iii].  A job well done.  Now as General Patton stated on his way to the Battle of the Bulge, “We are moving forward, either help or get out of the way”.
